Our Mission
Invest in the lives of young men as they make critical decisions and evolve into the NEX phase of their lives. Provide innovative ways to motivate and empower them to overcome obstacles during adolescence into young adulthood.
Our Program
- A one-year commitment for young men 16-21 years-old.
- Monthly group sessions that incorporates our curriculum and recognition of accomplishments and progress. In addition to individual sessions as needed.
- We focus on a holistic approach that includes emotional, physical, educational and financial barriers while taking social factors into consideration.
- Monthly community service projects.
- We recruit a diverse group of young men who are in the action phase of their lives. Each participant must exemplify the mission, core values and goals of a NEX Man.
- We target young men throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
Our Mentors
- Experienced educators, mental health professionals and law enforcement officers
- Selected from a diverse group of professionals and backgrounds
- Provide academic, social/emotional and community support
- Are authentic leaders that are flexible and readily accessible to the participants
Our Participants
- Understand the importance of education
- Come from different socioeconomic backgrounds
- Have realistic goals and not afraid to manifest their destiny
- Need additional support outside of family
- Some are being raised by single parents
- Participate in monthly community service projects
